Road and Traffic Report w/c 8th March, 2010

 

SLIGO AREA

Minor Works:

Sligo Borough

  • Pavement works continuing at Market Yard. Disruption will be kept to a minimum. Works are expected to last 1 week.
  • Footpath works are ongoing at Ballydoogan.  Traffic control will be in operation. Works are expected to last 2 weeks

Sligo Strandhill

  • Patching unit will be in operation on various roads in the Strandhill area.

Sligo-Drumcliffe

  • Road works ongoing on Regional Road R286 at Hazelwood
  • Verge Improvement works along the R279 at Farnacardy and Colgagh. Minors delays expected
  • Water main installation to new booster pump station on N15 at Creevykeel, north of Cliffoney, Work will continue until 10th March.

ENNISCRONE AREA

Minor Works:

  • Pothole repairs will be carried out throughout the Enniscrone area. Traffic Management will be in place.  Minor delays expected.
  • Water meter installation in Finod / Castletown  area, on the R297 north of Rathlee village. Work will continue until 26th March.

TUBBERCURRY AREA

Major Works:

  • Verge raising works will commence on the R294 east of Gurteen. Manual traffic control will be in operation with delays expected in the vicinity of the site. Works are expected to last 2 weeks. A 50km/h speed limit will apply within the site until completion of all operations.
  • Drainage works will commence on R296 at Cloonameehan North Td, Bunnanaddan.  Traffic lights will be in operation with delays expected in the vicinity of the site. Works are expected to last 1week. A 50km/h speed limit will apply within the site until completion of all operations.
  • Drainage works will continue on R294 at Gorterslin Td, Lough Talt.  Traffic lights will be in operation with delays expected in the vicinity of the site. Works are expected to last 1 week. A 50km/h speed limit will apply within the site until completion of all operations.

 Minor Works:

  • Patching unit will be working in the Tubbercurry area. Traffic control will be in operation but no delays are expected.


BALLYMOTE AREA

Major Works

  • Drainage works will continue on the R284 from Carraroe to Conway’s crossroads. Manual traffic control will be in operation. Works are expected to last 1 week.


Minor Works

  • Drainage works will continue on CR 643 and CR318. Traffic control will be in operation and works are expected to last 1 week.
  • Junction improvement works will commence at Lord Edward Street/Teeling Street junction. Works are expected to last 2 weeks.
  • Pothole repairs will be carried out in the Ballymote area. Traffic Management will be in place.  Minor delays expected.
