SUMMARY:The Sligo Glow Walk 2025
DESCRIPTION:Let’s make Sligo glow! \nThis is a family-friendly\, inclusive walk over a 3km route in Sligo town. Starting at 8:30pm – just after sunset – from Queen Maeve Square\, the walk will head along footpaths to Doorly Park Playground led by our fabulous Grand Marshal\, Mayor Gino O’Boyle. The walk will then return to Queen Maeve Square along the same route. \nSligo Glow Walk is free\, open to all ages\, and dog-friendly. Dress to impress in your brightest\, most glowing attire and bring your furry friends (on leashes!). Prizes will be given after the walk to Best Dressed Adult\, Best Dressed U-16 and Best Dog. There will also be a limited supply of glow-in-the-dark goodies available before the walk\, free of charge\, to those who want to accessorise to the max! First come\, first served! \nTickets are free – register your interest here to get the latest updates on the walk. You can also simply turn up on the evening and register onsite. \nThis event is grant-funded via a partnership between Sligo BID and Sligo County Council. This grant is funded through the Department of Culture\, Communications and Sport (Previously called the Department of Arts\, Culture\, Communications\, Media and Sports) Night Time Economy Pilot for Sligo Town. \nPlease note\, all u-16s must be accompanied by a responsible adult and all dogs/cat/assorted furry creatures must be leashed for the duration of the walk.
