The Coleman Traditional Festival returns to South Sligo from Wednesday 12 August to Sunday 16 August 2026, celebrating the rich musical heritage of the Coleman Country and honouring one of Ireland’s most important traditions. Across five days, visitors can enjoy headline performances, junior showcases, community seisiúns, and a special tribute to legendary fiddle player Fred Finn.
Hosted at the Coleman Music Centre and Coleman Cottage, Mount Irwin, the festival brings together acclaimed musicians, emerging young talent, and the local community for an authentic cultural experience rooted in Sligo’s traditional music lineage.

- Official Opening – Wednesday 12 August, 8pm Featuring Philip Doddy, Gerry Hanley, Shane McGowan, and a tribute to Fred Finn with guests Gregory Daly, Pat Sweeney, and Mick Loftus.
