Sligo Public Participation Network

The Sligo Public Participation Network (PPN) is a network of community/voluntary, social inclusion and environmental organisations, based in County Sligo. It forms the link between these local interest sectors and Sligo County Council.

Sligo Volunteer Centre

Sligo Volunteer Centre provides a link between people interested in volunteering and non-profit groups looking for volunteers. The centre advertises for volunteers on behalf of 300+ non-profit groups in Sligo and they refer interested people to these groups.

Libraries

As well as a mobile library service, Sligo has four branches in Sligo town, Ballymote, Tubbercurry and Enniscrone.

Sligo Lend a hand

Sligo Lend a Hand offers free services to vulnerable and older people living in Sligo. The service is provided free of charge by a pool of voluntary handypersons and helpers and includes minor repairs and small jobs inside and outside of the house. The emphasis is that no job is too small.

Employment Response North West

The organisation provides a free service to assist people with disabilities, mental health difficulties or people in recovery from illness or injury to obtain and sustain suitable employment.

The Avalon Centre

The Avalon Centre is a vibrant and energetic charity in the heart of Sligo town. The organisation provides a diverse range of programmes and services to meet the needs of the local and wider community both young and old.
