Pulled Studio Community Day | ATU Sligo Block G (Innovation Centre)
Join us in the studio for some communal printing on Saturday 5th September from 12noon to 3pm, open to artists and the public alike. This large-scale, collaborative printmaking session brings together local artists, printmakers and members of the public around a shared 10-metre roll of fabric. Using a selection of pre-made stencils and block-printing techniques with fabric inks, participants will contribute their own marks, patterns and imagery to create a single evolving piece of artwork.
The session will provide an informal opportunity for local artists and printmakers to connect, experiment and share techniques, while inviting members of the public to try their hand at printmaking in a relaxed, accessible setting. As the fabric is gradually transformed through the contributions of many different hands, the finished work will become a visual record of collective participation and the creative energy of the local community.
