The Power and The Glory | Francis Scattergood
22 June – 31 July 2026 | Scenius Gallery, Sligo | Free
New large-scale drawings by Wexford artist Francis Scattergood exploring war, conflict, and the human cost of both. Working in pencil, graphite and pastel, Scattergood traces the arc from the glorification of conflict to its lasting aftermath, grief, trauma, and the loss of innocence, using enlarged figures and caricature to hold these themes unflinchingly in view.
Scattergood has exhibited at EV+A Limerick and the Iontas Small Works Exhibition in Sligo, and works as a musician and composer contributing soundscapes to independent film and theatre.
