Easkey is a charming little village located right on the Wild Atlantic Way. It’s name is Iascaigh in Irish which means ‘abounding in fish. You always get the sense you are close the sea.

It is a renowned spot for experienced and confident surfers and some of the little gems include the Napoleonic watch tower and the remains of Easkey Castle.

You can catch a game of Hurling at the GAA field regularly. This native sport is played with sticks and a small ball and is the fastest and best game in the world.
