North West Surf School Enniscrone offer surf lessons, surf board and wetsuit rentals and summer camps.

They are open from April to November depending on conditions. They offer surf lessons to individals or groups, kids to adults. Birthday parties, School tours, Scouts, Girl Guides, Family parties, Stags and Hens etc.

North West Surf School is based in Enniscrone Co. Sligo. It was set up in 2006 and is run and owned by Shane Lavelle and his family. Shane grew up in the area and all of their instructors are from the Enniscrone area.

Enniscrone is a small seaside town along the Wild Atlantic Way. It has a 5km white sandy beach. At the end of the beach the river Moy flows out in to Killala bay. Situated near the county border with Mayo, only 14km from Ballina and 56km from Sligo town.

They run surf camps all through the summer months for kids of 8 years up and Adults that want to turn back the years and feel like kids again. The beach provides ideal conditions for novice to intermediate surfers.

All instructors have been Garda vetted and certified by Irish Surfing Association (ISA) North West Surf School is Registered with the Irish Surfing Association and has been an ISA approved surf school since we set up in 2006.

Surfing is one of the most incredible sports that you can enjoy. There’s no feeling so exhilarating as catching your first wave, getting your longest wave or just getting to your feet.

What you will experience

You will experience the thrill of surfing in the Atlantic Ocean under the expert guidance of a qualified and experienced instructor. You will get help and instruction relevant to your skill level and ability and this will all be done with safety in mind. You will feel refreshed and exhilarated and be ready for some find food and refreshments afterwards.
