Scenius Gallery is an artist-run contemporary art space located in the heart of Sligo
Town. It invites people to experience art as something shared, social and evolving. It
encourages cross-collaboration between ideas, media and artistic disciplines.

Dedicated to supporting emerging and established artists, the gallery presents a
dynamic year-round programme of exhibitions, workshops, artist talks and live events.

Founded as a collaborative and experimental creative space, it offers visitors the
opportunity to engage with contemporary culture in an intimate and welcoming setting
across two gallery spaces.

Through exhibitions and public programming, it encourages creative exchange and
meaningful connections between artists and audiences.

Since its founding, Scenius has become part of Sligo’s growing cultural landscape, supporting new artistic voices while contributing to the vibrant creative community of the Northwest.

  • Admission: Free to visit; ticketed events and workshops available throughout the year
  • Opening hours: Gallery 1 (street-facing) viewable 24 hours. Gallery 2 open Monday to Friday, 10am–5pm
  • Programme: Exhibitions, artist talks, workshops and live events throughout the year
  • Groups: Groups welcome; please contact us in advance for larger bookings
  • Toilets: Available on-site (not wheelchair accessible)
  • Accessibility: Partial. Both gallery entrances have a raised threshold or step; wheelchair users may require assistance. A ramp is planned. Please contact us in advance if you have specific access requirements.
  • Parking: On-street parking and public car parks nearby in Sligo town centre
