A new video entitled ‘Sligo for Everyone’ was released at the meeting of Sligo County Council on Monday 9th September 2024.
The video has been commissioned by Sligo County Council to showcase positively the liveability, accessibility and inclusiveness of Sligo, featuring its community, services, and landscape.
The Cathaoirleach, Cllr Declan Bree commented that:
It features the voices and faces of Sligo people alongside the beauty of the county and gives a snapshot of projects and activities which people enjoy, including many local landmarks.
It demonstrates what Sligo means to the diverse population who live here.
The title “Sligo is for everyone” emanated from the voices of Sligo people themselves as they were engaged with in the making of the video. They communicated their feelings on various aspects of living and participating in what Sligo offers across services, creativity, business and landscape, which all collectively communicates a Sligo for everyone.
Sligo County Council is grateful to all the local people and organisations who participated in the making of the video.
