This ground-breaking performance will take place on St Patricks Day at 2:30 pm, immediately following the festival parade, in Queen Maeve Square.
Under the skilled supervision of Niamh Crowley and Stephen Doherty, both orchestras will unite for the first time to perform an arrangement of music from the NorthWest Suite, composed by Stephen and expertly arranged by both Stephen and Niamh. The project will also include the production of a video in advance of the inaugural performance, providing a captivating preview of the musical extravaganza.
The collaboration will feature over 100 talented youth musicians from both orchestras, offering a diverse range of musical instruments and styles that promise to deliver a truly unique and memorable Sligo presentation. The live performance in Queen Maeve Square is set to enchant and captivate audiences, showcasing the incredible talent of our local young musicians.
