Come trekking on a scenic farm and walk with the cutest sheep in the world – the beautiful and docile Valais Blacknose sheep. A wonderfully relaxing experience that is great for people of all ages and particularly suited for groups.
These wonderful sheep help to give you a relaxing and rewarding experience. If they stop then so do you! The farm is located just outside Tubbercurry in south Sligo and is beautiful. This isn’t an energetic or strenuous walk so allows you to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere.
There are gorgeous views of the Ox Mountains and plenty of rocky and grassy spots where you can stop and soak in the serenity and peace and quiet.
- There are normally 4 to 8 Valais sheep on each walk and two people share a sheep
- Children aged 8 and over can co lead a sheep with an adult on a dual lead
- Children aged 12 and over can lead a sheep on their own
- No dogs allowed

Nestled in the heart of the Ox Mountains, this is an organic sheep farm where Christmas trees are also grown for the local market. The family home is over 100 years old and is surrounded by mature trees which is a great asset for wildlife.
The family first became interested in Valais Blacknose Sheep when their daughter fell in love with them at the Balmoral Show in Belfast. Subsequently they bought two sheep in 2022 and the flock has been increasing each year since then.
Walking with alpacas is a firm favourite with visitors to Ireland so now there is another option – walking with Valias Blacknose Sheep, the cutest sheep in the world.
Team Building
All Valais Blacknose sheep are docile and well mannered so ideal for groups and team building exercises. This two hour trek offers a unique experience which is friendly and memorable and gives your group a taste of authentic Irish countryside life.
